Smile, Life’s Grand

Smile, Life's GrandHappiness is a matter of the heart.

This is not mere spiritualism. Our hearts are precious vessels, endowed with the treasure of Buddhahood. When we strive earnestly, in faith and practice, and reveal our Buddhahood, we can walk along the sure and steady path to happiness, and attain a state of fulfilment and satisfaction.

Nichiren writes …

“Fortune comes from one’s heart and makes one worthy of respect.”

I have been transfixed by your blog, I have lost direction in my life and feel all at sea. I need to get back to feeling me and have strength and determination to pick up and begin again. I have been stagnating for two years after a marriage breakdown and doubting my decisions and unable to move forward. I live just outside swanage and came across your blog when looking into buddhist teachings. Alot of what you say makes sense to me. I have invested alot of time love and energy into a man with Multiple Sclerosis since coming out of my marriage his condition has become unbearable, he has turned to Buddhism and is now focusing on this to gain strength. I can see I spent too much time on him and little on myself therefore not moving forward, just stuck. Our relationship has broken down and he has now turned to someone else to help him be healed and has been chanting with her over the last week. I am happy that he has found someone to help redirect him but , feel rejected and my heart aches with sadness. I need to find strength to pick up and move forward with my life, maybe buddhism will help me too, but i don’t know where to begin

My suggestion would always be, that you read or listen to The Buddha, Geoff and Me. It changed my life and I hope it helps you too.
