Still Holding Our Breath

Charlotte and OliverThe initial tests Charlotte has had have come back with very good results, but they want to do more to find out why she feels a bit wobbly now and then. In my mind, it’s hardly surprising seeing as she in in the middle of a course of aggressive chemotherapy and is looking after three little boys at the same time.

Having said that, it is important that they do the tests properly and in-depth, and whilst Charlotte is pining to be back with her family, it’s worth having the patience to let them do that.

I’m confident that she is in the right place to get the test and treatment that she needs, but until we get the full picture, I am chanting for a positive outcome and we are all still holding our breath.

Dig For Victory

Dig DeepDo not become subservient or downhearted. Do not dwell on every tiny setback in the course of pursuing your chosen path.

To do so would be foolish. Victory or defeat is determined by our own lives.

What is enviable about the pretentious rich? What is great about conceited celebrities? What is admirable about political leaders who gained their positions of power by treating others with contempt?

There is no need to go seeking greener fields. Dig right where you are, for there lies a seam of untold riches.

Always Keep Believing

PoisonMy progress, through my Practice, has been pretty steady and positive.

So imagine my surprise when I seemed to take a step backwards yesterday. Nothing terminal, of course, and maybe it was long overdue.

Naturally, it’s tempting to only blog my successes, the good things, and paint a rosy picture. But that wouldn’t be a true reflection of my path.

I’m not going to go into details, but I am going to use this problem to strengthen my resolve, so more poison into medicine and proof that my faith is strong..

More Signs Of Spring

More signs ...It’s sometimes difficult to wait for good things to come out of bad situations.

What can help, is the little signs we see along the route of the journey. Recently I posted an optimistic piece showing the first signs of Spring. Sadly, the following week the weather turned cold and wet, there was snow in northern parts of the country and it appeared to be a bit of a false start.

Today it’s been a rather chilly, windy, but beautifully sunny day and there are more signs that the warmth of summer is on it’s way. The photo is of one perfect daffodil in the local park in Hamworthy. But as you can see, there are still many other buds still waiting to burst into flower.

The lesson I think I can learn from this, is that even though there are indications of progress, it is important that I don’t wish my way further along the path than I actually am.

Patience

It is said that patience is a virtue, and indeed that is a fact.

Having patience with someone, something, or with a situation can make the difference between causing, or solving problems.

When you are just about to run out of patience you should take a deep breath and carry on being understanding.

Sometimes when our patience runs out, it is because we don’t have the full picture. Having a partial understanding of a situation leads us all to try to fill in the missing parts from our imagination.

As anyone who has been to the dentist, and I guess that’s pretty much all of us, the waiting room, the fear of what might be in store, is far worse than the reality when we finally sit in the chair.

So it is with most situations in life. So stop imagining, take that deep breath, and find a little more patience. It will be worth it in the end.
